The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is low-cost, typically leaving little incentive to discover more ways of walking around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have risen the price of oil, the issue of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one business is taking advantage of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
